Software Tools (current)*
Open Broadcaster Software - Streaming, recording consoles, recording desktop, recording things Fraps is too good for.
Fraps - What I typically record with.
Sony Vegas - Video editing software (I have a very old version because I don't want to spend 800 dollars for the bells and whistles).
MeGui - Encoding to .mkv
FrameServer - What I use to knit Vegas and MeGui together.
RPG Maker VX Ace - For futzing around.
Goldwave - Simple voice recording.
Adobe Audition - Less simple voice recording.
*If using any of the above tools, I would advise you to get them from safe, reputable sites and not some sketchy ad-riddled cess pool.
Hardware
Blue Snowball - Microphone (I previously had the Snowflake)
Blackmagic Intensity Pro 4k - capture card for PS3/PS4 games
Dazzle - capture card for Gamecube (it's not that great tbh, but it was cheap on ebay)
HDMI Video Splitter - PS3/PS4 input, TV, computer output
HDMI cables (hurrrr) - I'm convinced at least two of mine are messed up
Don't ask what keyboard/mouse I use. You won't be impressed with the answer.
